Workshop Conducted by Media And Communication Studies Department on 24-25 Oct, 2023 Department of Media and Communication Studies conducted a two day training workshop on ???Practical Journalism??? on 24th and 25th October 2023. Vice Chancellor Government College Women University Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli presided the event. Emphasizing the importance of training workshops, she said that hands-on training sessions enable students learn practical skills and enhance their abilities. She also added that media is a contemporary field and for the consultation and learning of the students of ???Media and Communication Studies Department???, these kind of workshops and activities should be conducted in every semester. Mr. Hafiz Ali Abid from PTV News was the resource person for the 1st day of the event and he focused on the essential and valuable skills used in electronic media, news writing and reporting. Guest speaker for the 2nd day was Mr. Ajmal Malik from PNN News who spoke on the topic of print media reporting, sources, writing and fetching of the news. HOD Dptt. of Media and Communication Studies Dr. Sadaf Naqvi expressed gratitude towards the guests and appreciated the students. Ms. Amara Javed, Additional Director Press Media and Publication, coordinated with her in organising the event with full zeal and zest. Coordinator H&L Dr. Rukhsana Baloch and other faculty members also attended the workshop. Focal persons of the workshop were Ms. Saba Tehseen and Ms. Raheela.
